    Authorise once

Connect through your HMRC Agent Services Account and bring in your MTD clients.

See which clients are ready to file, which have records to check and which deadlines are coming up.

  • Reminders clients reply to

Clients answer an email with their statements and receipts or use a secure upload link, instead of filling in a spreadsheet.

Questions

What is Making Tax Digital and when does it start?

MTD for Income Tax started on 6 April 2026 for sole traders and landlords registered for Self Assessment with qualifying income over £50,000. It extends to income over £30,000 from 6 April 2027 and over £20,000 from 6 April 2028. Everyone in scope keeps digital records and sends quarterly updates to HMRC.

How does AATAX connect to HMRC?

You link your Agent Services Account, and AATAX sends your clients' quarterly updates and final declarations to HMRC on your behalf. Every change and every HMRC submission is kept in a full audit trail.

How much does AATAX cost for agents?

£5 per client, per year, ex VAT, for practices with up to 500 clients. No setup fees, no tiers. Over 500 clients? Contact us and we'll agree a price based on the size of your book.

How do I get started?

Book a 30-minute demo using your own client book, or create a practice account and connect your Agent Services Account. Account creation currently needs a referral code, so if you don't have one, book a demo or email us.

Can my clients use AATAX directly?

Not yet. Clients reply to email reminders or use a secure upload link, and you review what AATAX reads. A client portal is on our roadmap.
